Why It Works
Curcumin, a chemical compound found in turmeric possesses antioxidant antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties excellent for oily skin. Often touted as “the emollient of the royals”, evening Primrose oil contains fatty acids (linoleic acid) that helps reduce the thickness of natural sebum, which keeps pores clear and unclogged and reduces breakouts while retaining skin moisture (gamma-linolenic acid). Rosehip oil contains fatty acids (Linoleic Acid, Linolenic Acid, Oleic Acid, Palmitic Acid, and Stearic Acid) that hydrates skin and reduce inflammation.

How to use
Face: wet face, lather soap on your palm and apply suds on the face, massaging in a circular motion upward.
Body: wet body, apply soap on sponge (optional) or directly on the body, scrub and rinse off properly.

The African Black soap with Turmeric was carefully and specially formulated for the oily skin. We suggest you get the soap that is suited for your skin type.
- Can I apply the soap directly on my face?
No. The soap should not be applied directly to the face. Lathering your soap in your hand first before washing helps to activate the nutrients within the soap’s formula. Also, pH of our soap is 7 while that of the skin is pH is between 4.7 and 5.75.
- Can I use the soap on both my body and face?
Yes. The soap can be used on both the body and face
- Would the African Black Soap with Turmeric change my complexion?
No. Our African Black Soap with Turmeric is formulated with raw materials that helps to soften, smoothen and condition the skin and not bleach the skin.
- I have an oily skin; can I scrub my face?
Yes. Chemical exfoliants (lactic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid) are the best for oily skin as this exfoliates the skin without any irritating scrubbing action unlike physical exfoliants that may irritate your skin, leading to redness and breakouts.
